Simple home decor ideas for storing throw blankets.

I loved cottage style home decorating ideas, and it’s mostly because I like being indoors.

It has always been essential for me to have all of my senses are gratified with whatever rustic chic home decor ideas I chose to employ. For my sense of smell, my usual go-to would be to simmer some spices over the stove. Like cloves, apples, cinnamon, ginger, and vanilla. The house smells so amazing when it gets to boiling. On days when I just need some stress relief, I gravitate towards my oil diffuser, and the scent of eucalyptus permeate every room, that’s how great my diffuser is. Not to mention, it looks like an ordinary wooden vase so when it is not in use it serves a whole other home decor purpose!

For those colder months:

Try using shag rugs on the floors; they are much more comfortable than a woven option in my opinion. Throw blankets keep you and your family warm and toasty. I prefer faux fur, velvet or flannel or maybe one texture on each side, that’s entirely up to you! However, if you don’t have a fireplace, you can create the same atmosphere by utilizing an electric version that even gives the illusion of logs burning! Now not everyone likes to wear socks indoors so also having some lined slip-on shoes or slippers can significantly increase your level of comfort when you slip out from under those warm covers.

Fall comforts:

The ottoman, large or small can be attained by using some old textured sweaters stuffed with cotton and stitched up. If that is not your style find a floor sofa and strategically place it under a window where you can just unwind and relax. To complete the whole zen-like feel – light up your scented soy candles. Put them in colored jars for muted candlelight effects; these jars are mostly available in thrift shops since they lean more towards a vintage home decor style.
